CANCELED: Black Polish
This Event is All Ages “I want to build entire worlds for people to dissect,” says Black Polish, a rising alternative star known for their cinematic anthems of angst and rebellion. Since age 14, the Los Angeles-based artist Jayden “Jay” Binnix has found a listenership of fellow misfits through their songs that delve deep on themes of mental health and identity. After breaking out with their 2020 debut single “Sophie” – currently with over two million streams – they’ve established their own style of emotionally piercing songwriting and dynamic sound, which blends alternative, electronic, and pop music. Now, Jay prepares to expand the Black Polish universe with their sophomore album, Yuna, due September 5 via BMG. Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. she’s green
This Event is All Ages Likened to a soft summer rain, she’s green is a Minneapolis-based dream-inducer composed of vocalist Zofia Smith, guitarists Liam Armstrong and Raines Lucas, bassist Teddy Nordvold, and drummer Kevin Seebeck. The band has played many shows throughout the Midwest and East Coast, sharing bills with acts such as Hotline TNT, Glixen, Friko, and more. The Star Tribune recommends bringing “earplugs and maybe a tissue for their set.” They initially received recognition through their first two released singles, “river” and “smile again”, both recorded and mixed at home. A raw emotional intensity shines through their honest and explorative songwriting process. After the release of their debut EP Wisteria, they were named one of First Avenue’s Best New Bands of 2023. In April of 2024, they got the most votes from industry professionals for MPR station The Current’s first annual Scouting Report Poll of the top rising artists in Minnesota. Triathalon
This Event is All Ages Triathalon — the New York-based trio of Adam Intrator, Chad Chilton and Hunter Jayne— announces its new album Funeral Music, out May 16th on Lex Records. Born out of a period of heartbreak, growing pains, and self discovery, Funeral Music showcases a darker, more vulnerable side of the band. With a more minimal approach, every element within the album is highlighted, from cleaner guitar tones, to live-tracked drums, to first-take vocals mixed with singular piano playing and experimental production. Funeral Music not only reflects the band’s sonic shift but also reinvents the overall dynamics between their sound, energy and workflow. These songs were written, demoed, recorded and mixed in various places, bedrooms, studios and houses over the course of two years and is the band’s strongest and most cohesive work to date. Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing. No Refunds.
